If you buy frozen chicken nuggets then I implore you to please go to your freezer and see if you have these nuggets in your home.

What is also a concern is that many of the packages of nuggets included in the recall could have been sold to school systems for school lunches.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced this important recall yesterday.

OK Food, Inc., an Oklahoma City, Okla. establishment, is recalling approximately 933,272 pounds of breaded chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The ready-to-eat breaded chicken items were produced on various dates from Dec. 19, 2016, through March 7, 2017. The FSIS has a complete list of affected products available to consumers through their website.

In the consumer market, the majority of the products have been sold at Walmart stores under the brand name Great Value. These potentially tainted products would have been in the freezer case from mid-December of 2016 until March 7th of 2017.

Consumers are asked to inspect their packages for this identifying mark. The recalled products feature the number "P-7092" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

If you find you have purchased chicken nuggets affected by the recall or if you have questions about nuggets you might have in your freezer you may call 479.312.2409.

Assistance is also available online through the FSIS automated online assistant.
