A California man is claiming that you can see a image of his dead son on Google Maps and is asking that Google remove the satellite image. Jose Barrera's son Kevin was murdered and his body was discovered near railroad tracks that separate North Richmond, CA and San Pablo, CA.In the image above, courtesy of Google Maps, you can clearly see a body lying on the ground next to the tracks, surrounded by police officers and a police car. Barrera has asked Google to remove the image, but Google said they haven't encountered a problem like this before.

Brian McClendon, vice president of Google Maps, had this to say about the image:

Since the media first contacted us about the image, we’ve been looking at different technical solutions. Google has never accelerated the replacement of updated satellite imagery from our maps before, but given the circumstances we wanted to make an exception in this case. We believe we can update this in eight days, and we’ve spoken to the family to let them know we’re working hard on the update.

Barrera said that the satellite image brings back "a lot of memories". He also said:

When I see this image, that’s still like that happened yesterday.
