Twin brothers Rex and Rob Ryan are, once again, out of a job.

It was announced today that head coach Rex Ryan, and his twin brother Rob, who served as assistant head coach, were relieved of their duties.

"I spoke with Rex earlier today and we mutally agreed that the time to part ways is now. These decisions are never easy. I want to take this opportunity to thank Rex for all his efforts and wish him all the best moving forward," Bills owner Terry Pegula said in a statement Tuesday.

Pegula went on to mention that he, his wife, and organization share in the frustrations of their fans, and are working to bring a championship to Buffalo. Offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn will serve as interim head coach through the final game of their season versus Rex Ryan's former team the Jets.

The real reason this story matters to us in the south is that Rob Ryan spent time in New Orleans as the defensive coordinator with the Saints. He was quasi-famously fired 10 games into the 2015 season as the Saints defense was ranked (below?) last in the NFL, having had more than two and a half seasons to build a defense.

He also went on to mock his time in New Orleans, even going as low as making a Hurricane Katrina "joke" after being fired. (side note: apparently the video is lost to VINE being no more?)
