Brendan Dassey Of ‘Making A Murderer’ Has Conviction Overturned
Brendan Dassey, the nephew of Steven Avery, and one of two cases followed in the hit Netflix documentary "Making A Murderer" has had his conviction overturned by a federal judge.
Dassey could go free in 90 days if the state does not refile.
Millions of people watched in awe at the "Making A Murderer" documentary when Brendan Dassey, who was 16-years-old when he was arrested, was sentenced to life in prison for his part in the 2005 murder of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach.
The central focus of the documentary was on Dassey's uncle Steven Avery, who spent 18 years in prison for a false rape charge. He was arrested for the murder of Halbach. Dassey, who's attorneys maintain that his confession was coerced, was arrested later.
