Friday evening civic leaders and lovers of boudin in Scott gathered at Don's Specialty Meats for an epic unveiling. It was the public's first glimpse at the 2020 Scott Boudin Festival official poster and it did not disappoint.

The artwork, created by local artist Tony Bernard, will be prominently featured in support of the festival scheduled for April 17th through the 19th. The poster depicts a pig wearing overalls and sawing on a fiddle in the middle of the festival grounds.

At the unveiling event organizers also recognized former Scott Mayor Purvis Morrison, the founder of the annual event that spotlight's one of the town's biggest claims to fame. Namely, boudin, the Scott area is home to some of the most hallowed names in boudin preparation across the state and across the Gulf South.

Among the featured performers at this year's Scott Boudin Festival will be the Molly Ringwalds, Dustin Sonnier and the Wanted, Keith Frank, Krossfyre, Geno Delfose and French Rockin' Boogie, and a host of others.

The Festival is also actively seeking volunteers. If you'd like to help you can let those intentions be known by contacting festival organizers here.
