When these buckets came out back in 1986, people going to get a Happy Meal would get the buckets. This year you will see some changes. Come collectors are wondering why the buckets don't come with lids.

Do You Remember What the Boo Buckets Looked Like in 1986?

In 1990 the buckets changed. Instead of the three choices only being in orange, a 1990 commercial shows there were offered in green, orange, and white, and they glowed in the dark:

In 1991, McDonald's went from offering Happy Meals to offering bags. McDonald's eventually went back to the buckets instead of the Halloween bags. The following is a quick review with all of the Halloween commercials that have been made since the beginning of the buckets in '86.

The Boo Buckets this year are four different colors:

  • Blue
  • Green
  • Orange
  • White

When Will McDonald's Bring Back the Boo Buckets?

A local member of the McDonald's family says the buckets, including a delicious Happy Meal, will be for sale starting on Tuesday, October 15.

The buckets had many years of changes, but they are back now. Designs may have changed over the years. Officials with McDonald's decided in 2016 to retire the line. But. as much as adults love to collect these, it wasn't very long until the company decided they would start the whole thing up again.
