Body Discovered On Lafayette’s South Side; Foul Play Not Suspected
Lafayette Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the discovery of a body being found in Lafayette late Tuesday morning.
Cpl. Karl Ratcliff said police are investigating the death as an accidental death, as foul play is being suspected.
Ratcliff said the body appears to be that of a 29-year-old white male.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of the man's next of kin.
Police received a call regarding the body being found near a coulee west of the Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Kaliste Saloom Road intersection at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
