Blackhawks Goalie And Former Icegator Gives Lafayette A Shout Out

During a podcast interview called Pardon My Take, Chicago Blackhawks goalie (and former Louisiana Icegator) Scott Darling gives Lafayette a shout-out.

If you skip ahead to the 25:00-mark on this podcast, the host asks Darling about the many cities he has lived/played in, and which was his favorite.  Excluding Chicago (of course), Darling had this to say:

I would say my favorite spot was Lafayette, Louisiana.  (A) real cool part of the country... that was a great place to live" - Scott Darling, Chicago Blackhawks goalie

What the hosts say after Darling's comments isn't the most flattering to Louisiana residents, but I am guessing that the hosts have never lived here.
