You can't say you haven't been warned.

Our media partners over at KATC TV-3 are reporting that big changes are coming for those who use the shuttle to get to Festival International.

As you may know, those attending Festival can park at Cajun Field and take a UL bus to downtown Lafayette to join-in on all of the fun that Festival has to offer.

Well, there's going to be a slight change in 2019 when it comes to hopping on a UL bus. According to KATC, you will now have to pay to park at Cajun Field to take the shuttle downtown.

Festival International Executive Director Scott Feehan told TV-3, “for UL transportation to be able to do it with all the events they have going on with the baseball games and softball and Cajundome, it’s going to be 10 dollars to park at Cajun Field.”

UL will collect the money and then split it between the athletic department and the transportation division. Yes, you will be able to use a credit card or debit card to make payment.

We should note here that there are several events going on at the Cajundome and at the UL sports complex that weekend, thus parking may get a little tricky.

Festival International will remain free to attend and kicks off on April 24, 2019. For more on changes coming to Festival, visit KATC TV-3.
