Beastie Boys’ Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch’s Will Has A Pretty Awesome Clause
The music world lost a great deal when Beastie Boys' Adam 'MCA' Yauch passed away on May 4th of this year. He, of course, left a will behind. He left his estate to his wife and 6.4 million to his wife and daughter. But there's a clause in there dealing with his music that is pretty awesome! Keep reading to find out what it is!
From Rolling Stone:
"Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, in no event may my image or name or any music or any artistic property created by me be used for advertising purposes," reads a copy of the will obtained by Rolling Stone. The phrase "or any music or any artistic property created by me" was added in handwriting.
I'm glad that he put this in there so as it doesn't dampen what he and the other two B-Boys did! Good on you, Yauch!
