The members of Autograph have signed a new deal with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's EMP Label Group for the release of the band's upcoming sixth studio LP, Get Off Your Ass.

Due in stores Oct. 6 on CD and digital formats — and on limited-edition vinyl the following month — Get Off Your Ass presents the first full-length release from the revamped group, which returned to active duty in 2013. Founding members Steve Lynch and Randy Rand are joined by new singer Simon Daniels and drummer Marc Wieland, both of whom were on Autograph's previous effort, the 2016 EP Louder.

"Get Off Your Ass definitely sets a new direction for the band, with an updated, heavier sound, while still retaining the signature melodic hooks people have come to expect from Autograph," says Lynch in a press release. "This record is bound to get the attention of old Autograph fans as well as the new. So put your ears on and turn this one up!"

"This is a lineup of brothers with a vision and the perfect chemistry," adds Daniels. "We wanted the record to be musically timeless, and translate a heavier sound featuring the melodies and harmonies, but with heavier guitars and a more 'in your face' attitude. The lyrics come from the heart and are directed to people of our current era, with uplifting messages and positive energy. It’s Autograph on steroids."

Available to pre-order now, Get Off Your Ass will be supported with a round of tour dates that's scheduled to begin Sept. 8, when the band will perform at the SCVR 27th Annual Chilifeed in Ellsworth, Wis. They'll be back on the road again in early 2018 as part of the Monsters of Rock Cruise, which is set to sail from Miami to Jamaica next February.
