Carencro Advances To 5A Title Game, Breaux Bridge & VC Fall
The Carencro High Bears have advanced to the class 5A state championship game, after defeating Byrd, 34-21, in the semifinal round of the LHSAA football playoffs, on Friday night.
Carencro, the #7 seed in the 5A bracket moves onto the title game, against 5th-seeded West Monroe, who defeated Mandeville, 26-14, on Friday evening.
Three Acadiana Area Schools Remain In High School Football Playoffs
We’ve reached the semifinal round of the LHSAA football playoffs, and three teams from the Acadiana area remain alive in their quest for a spot for the state finals.
In a class 5A semifinal, the 7th-seeded Carencro Bears play host to third-seeded Byrd. The visitors are 12-0 on the year, and have won every game by at least ten points, while Carencro is 12-1, with their only loss coming at the hands

High School Football Playoffs-Week 2
A number of teams from the Acadiana area are in action tonight, in the regional round of the LHSAA football playoffs.
In class 5A, 11th-seeded Acadiana travels to New Orleans, to take on Archbishop Rummel, while 7th-seeded Carencro plays host to 10th-seeded Ouachita Parish.
