Arrest Made in Breaux Bridge Fatal Hit and Run
Investigators with the Breaux Bridge Police Department have identified and arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on August 14, 2022.
Ryan Robichaux, 42, of Breaux Bridge has been arrested and charged with the following:
- Hit and Run with death or serious bodily injury (felony)
The crash took the life of 42-year-old Camille Angelle of Breaux Bridge.
On Sunday, August 14, 2022, investigators with the Breaux Bridge Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Poydras Highway concerning a deceased female in a ditch.
Investigators discovered several items in the area that they believed to have come from the suspect vehicle. In the search, they also located a side mirror submerged in the ditch near the victim's body.
Investigators were then able to use this evidence to develop a suspect vehicle.
An anonymous tip was received by investigators of a vehicle sighting. The suspect vehicle was subsequently located along with its occupants.
Over the next few days, interviews were conducted, investigators put the pieces together, and they obtained an active arrest warrant for Ryan Robicheaux.
Robicheaux turned himself in and was arrested, booked, and transported to the St. Martin Parish Correction Center on the charges listed above.
