The building that was used for exterior shots of Arkham Asylum in Batman Begins is up for sale!

The building, located in London, was formerly used for the National Institute for Medical Research. It will be vacated by 2016. Due to the evolution of the buildings around the site, it no longer is suitable for it's needs. This leaves it up for sale.

Here's the full description:

The site has significant residential-led or mixed use development potential (subject to planning), with excellent transport links to Central London and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from a prominent position on The Ridgeway.

The site was first occupied by the Medical Research Council (MRC) in 1950. Due to the nature and evolution of the buildings on the site, the research campus is coming to the end of its useful life. As such, the site no longer fits the MRC's and Government's requirements for research facilities. It is planned that the institute will relocate to new premises at The Francis Crick Institute in Kings Cross, presenting an opportunity to redevelop the site. The MRC will start decanting from November 2015 and the site will be vacant in the summer of 2016.
