April 13 Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, April 13.
There are now 21,016 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. 5,589 tests have been completed by state labs and 102,502 tests have been reported by commercial labs. Numbers show that there are 2,134 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized with 461 of them on ventilators.
The total amount of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 1,070 with 48 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 360 cases, 14 deaths
St. Martin Parish: 162 cases, 8 deaths
Iberia Parish: 142 cases, 5 deaths
St. Mary Parish: 127 cases, 2 deaths
St. Landry Parish: 114 cases, 13 deaths
Acadia Parish: 101 cases, 5 deaths
Evangeline Parish: 38 cases
Vermilion Parish: 26 cases, 1 death
There is more widespread representation throughout the state as all Louisiana parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 884. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out tomorrow at noon.
