Did you ever think that you would look at the exterior of an ancient church and see a gargoyle of the Alien from the infamous 'Alien' film franchise? Well, it really does exist in Scotland.

Paisley Abbey, an ancient abbey in Scotland, which has been around since the year 1245 has a gargoyle of the Xenomorph from 'Alien'. Now, just to clarify any confusion, of course the Alien creature was designed in the late 1970's by Swiss artist H.R. Giger for Ridley Scott's epic sci-fi/horror classic 'Alien'. The gargoyle was put there after the film was released. But still, it's pretty cool.

In this video interview, aired on the BBC, Reverend Alan Birss, the minister of Paisley Abbey, explained why there is a stone gargoyle of a Xenomorph on the church.
