Acadiana Veterans Need To Register To Help Bring VA Hospital Here

There has been much discussion about opening a VA hospital here in Lafayette. Acadiana veterans currently have to drive to Alexandria to seek hospital care at a VA facility. Now a push is being made to establish a hospital for local veterans, but it starts with the VA knowing how many vets in Acadiana would utilize the facility. On Monday, Congressman Jeff Landry is holding a veteran's registration drive in Breaux Bridge to allow local vets to let the VA know that a hospital is indeed needed in Acadiana. The registration drive will be held from 10a - 6p at the American Legion Hall, 300 Veterans Dr. Breaux Bridge.
