Nashville began hosting the 2019 NFL Draft Thursday night, and it got off to a rainy start.

As NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell approached the podium to begin the draft, the skies opened up.

The betting favorite to be drafted first overall, Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, fully realized his decision to turn down a career in MLB to play pro football, as he was indeed the #1 overall draft pick to the Arizona Cardinals.

While rain was in the forecast, many mock draft forecasts were torn up by the time the Oakland Raiders selected Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell 4th overall.

One pick later, LSU linebacker Devin White was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After White, the New York Giants drafted quarterback Daniel Jones out of Duke, a surprising reach accoring to the majority of draft pundits.

LSU cornerback Greedy Williams, a projected 1st round pick in most mock drafts, didn't hear his name called, but is expected to early Friday night when the second round gets underway.
