Authorities say they have one teenage suspect in custody.

Two students who were injured during the shooting at Townville Elementary School in South Carolina were airlifted to an area hospital. One teacher who was injured was transported via ambulance to another area hospital.

Deputies confirmed that they have one teenage suspect in custody.

The shooting happened just after 1pm local time.

Students were brought out of the back of the school, and transported to Oakdale Baptist Church. Parents were asked to pick up their children from the church, and not the school.

Authorities are investigating a death at a home three miles from the school that they say is related to the school shooting.
