$10,000 Mega Millions Winner Sold In Louisiana

Call it the magic of Mardi Gras or maybe it was just Louisiana's good run of good luck with those nationwide lottery games, but for last night's Mega Millions drawing there was a $10,000 winner sold in the state.

The winning ticket was sold in New Orleans. perhaps you visited there over the past few days. If you did and you purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket you'll want to check your numbers.

The winning numbers for the March 5, 2019 drawing were:

The $10,000 winner sold in New Orleans was purchased at Brother's Food Mart #132 on Crowder Boulevard. That ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball. The ticket purchaser did not opt for the Megaplier option.

Meanwhile, in other lottery news. A winner finally came forward to claim the $1.5 billion Mega Millions prize from last October. That winning ticket was sold in South Carolina and a lawyer representing the winning ticket holder came forward to claim the money.

Oh, and one more lottery note. Tonight's Powerball drawing will be worth an estimated $381 million dollars to a single ticket holder. That drawing happens at 9:59 local time and by rule ticket sales must cease one hour before the official drawing.
