Crack the Crypt's jackpot got up to $1,527.81.

A big congratulations goes out to Darrell from Lafayette, who guessed the defendant in the first recorded murder trial in the United States, Levi Weeks, to win the jackpot for Crack the Crypt brought to you by Hard Rock Marble and Granite!

Weeks was found innocent of killing his secret lover, Elma Sands, after a jury deliberated for only five minutes. His lawyers included Alexander Hamilton and his future-assassin Aaron Burr.

Here's the intro to his Wikipedia page:

Levi Weeks (1776–1819) was the accused in the infamous Manhattan Well Murder trial of 1, the first murder trial in the United States for which there is a recorded transcript.[1][2]At the time of the murder, Weeks was a young carpenter in New York City. He was the brother of Ezra Weeks, one of New York's most successful builders of the time.

We had a blast playing this game with you, and look forward to doing it again next October!
