Food, like the English language, is an ever evolving thing. Take this "Gumbolaya" dish for example. It's a mashup of, you guessed it, Gumbo and Jambalya. The folks over at thecozyapron.com have a recipe for it and I'm, well...frightened, curious and excited about it all at the same time.

As you see in the recipe video below, "Gumbolaya" looks a lot to me like shrimp creole with out all of the red sauce. I mean, how can shrimp, sausage, chicken and rice be bad, right?

I'm just so torn about this. It feels like complete Cajun heresy, but seems like it might be a decent idea. I guess I can't knock it till I try it.
