The Bayou Vermilion District has just released flooding information about the Verimilion River and Carencro.

As of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th, the Vermilion River is at flood stage (10 feet or more) at Surrey Street in Lafayette, and is approaching flood stage in Carencro. All Vermilionville boat tours are cancelled until further notice. The Bayou Vermilion District highly discourages boat activity at this time, and all of its boat launches are currently closed.
