If the first batch of trailers and clips have shown us anything, it’s that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is going to be Drax show. Dave Bautista famously cried when he was told that he would be playing Drax in Marvel’s new franchise; the direct-to-video market is littered with the work of former professional wrestlers who tried their hand at becoming action stars, and playing Drax meant that Bautista would escape the same outcome of some of his peers. As a result, Bautista poured his heart and soul into this character. It definitely shows.

FYI dudes, a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer is premiering tomorrow night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (that guy sure is having a good week), and even though it’s only a day and some change away, Marvel has generously offered up a short teaser for James Gunn’s highly-anticipated sequel. In addition to showing off what appears to be the space-equivalent of a campfire, the new sneak peek reveals our first look at the return of Nebula, played by Karen Gillan.

We can all probably agree that the current news cycle is relentlessly…depressing — so how about we take a break from all of that with new photos from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Marvel has debuted five images from James Gunn’s upcoming sequel, featuring a few of your favorite a-holes along with their new pal, Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff.

We already know Avengers: Infinity War is going to be huge, with the current MCU arcs building toward a crossover event that promises to be the studio’s biggest yet — even bigger than Captain America: Civil War. According to previous comments made by directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Infinity War will feature dozens of characters from the Marvel universe, including Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. As for the rest of the lineup, we can only make educated guesses, but a new casting call may have spilled the beans.

It’s been a while since the crew of the Starship Enterprise visited a strange new world in search of new life and civilizations. The Star Trek of television was full of strange new worlds; the Enterprise seemed to discover one every single week. The Trek movies, so focused on special effects, violence, and intricate revenge plots, have frequently strayed from Trek’s original mission. And while there’s plenty of action and excitement in Star Trek Beyond, there’s also a clear attempt to return this series to its core principles: Exploration, diplomacy, teamwork, and the hope for a better tomorrow. After the missteps of the punishingly bleak and the unfortunately rehashy Star Trek Into Darkness, it’s a necessary and welcome course correction; a Star Trek back into the light.

It is interesting that, given a reboot could theoretically go off in any direction it chooses, that the relaunched Star Trek has begun to repeat events from the first Star Trek movie series. Star Trek Into Darkness was essentially a revisitation of The Wrath of Khan; the movie not only reintroduced the title character, it also flip-flopped the famous end of Wrath of Khan where Spock dies saving the Enterprise. (This time around it was Captain Kirk who made the ultimate sacrifice ... for about 8 minutes, and then he got better.) Certainly the circumstances of the film are very different, but Star Trek Beyond shares one crucial ingredient with Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, namely the destruction of the Starship Enterprise, and the shipwrecking of its crew on a distant alien planet.

We are less than two months away from the release of Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' which means we're going to start seeing a lot more of these a-holes in TV spots and posters, like this very special new character poster featuring the 'Guardians' sole female butt-kicker, Gamora.

It's time to start getting really excited for 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' While the past two months have brought us superhero movies like 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' (with varying results), we mustn't forget that there's still a big one on the way in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and what better way to remind yourself of this summer's other entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with this fantastic new trailer.

We're still on the fence as to whether NBC's Zoe Saldana-starring 'Rosemary's Baby' miniseries remake can live up to the scares of the original, but all the same, the newest iteration of motherly horror at last has a premiere date. Fear will officially be born anew on NBC this coming May, and Mother's Day to boot!
