It won't save you a lot of money but it will save you some money, here's the list of eligible items for the sales tax holiday this weekend.

The Louisiana Department of Revenue released a news release today which said that hunters will get a discount on state sales tax when they shop for firearms and other hunting supplies this weekend from Friday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 4th.

The sales tax holiday suspends the state sales tax on hurricane-preparedness items like batteries, portable generators and flashlights.

The sales tax holiday applies to the first $1,500 of the purchase price of each item.
