Good news for Pearl Jam fans: Frontman Eddie Vedder announced today that he will release his second solo album later this year, on May 31.

Shirley Manson has noted on her Facebook page that Garbage may have a new album “finished by summer”. Manson wrote a note on her Facebook page to thank fans for supporting her appearance on new track ‘The Hunger’, written by System Of A Down ringleader Serj Tankian for a musical.

Dave Grohl and the crew played a last minute secret show in Santa Barbara, CA over the weekend, and used the date to debut their new album in all it's revelry. Here's a video for the new song "These Days" from the gig.

Staind have started work on their seventh album, singer Aaron Lewis has revealed. Speaking to Vegas.com, Lewis said the band are "in the studio right now recording another record".

During a recent interview, Seether guitarist Troy McLawhorn and drummer John Humphrey confirmed the band will be releasing a new album titled "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray" in May.  The first single from the album, rumored to be titled “No Resolution” is due out in March.
