Seeing as HBO, FX and the outlet behind Louis C.K.’s new film all severed ties with the comedian after a string of sexual misconduct reports, Netflix was sure to follow. The streaming service has canceled plans for a new comedy special with C.K. it previously announced.

Louis C.K. has made abundantly clear that Louie feels like a past phase of his life, but if Larry David can kickstart the ol’ Curb Your Enthusiasm, surely C.K. can find new inspiration, right? FX certainly hopes so, wanting the comedian to reach a new, Louie-conducive phase of his life, whatever it takes.

Now that President Obama has come and gone, Jon Stewart’s final round of Daily Show outings will bring out a few more big guns to help send him off. Among the sure to be extensive list, we already have top comedians (and near successors) Amy Schumer, Louis C.K. and even Denis Leary booking slots on Jon Stewart’s final run.

Louis C.K. was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night. He said when he was a writer on The Dana Carvey Show in 1996, Jimmy Fallon auditioned for a writing position. While Fallon was very talented -- even back then, Louis (whose full name is Louis Székely) says he torpedoed Fallon's chances.

Now that we've reached the midpoint of the latest season of Louis C.K.'s great TV show 'Louie,' can we just go ahead and declare it the smartest comedy series of the '00s?

On ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,’ comedian Louis C.K. was riffing on how straight men have to go out of their way to make sure everybody is aware that they are straight. This led Leno to comment that the slovenly ensemble Louis was currently wearing was “the most heterosexual outfit” he’d ever seen.
