Tacky Sweater Run Tomorrow To Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Acadiana

Don't put away those tacky holiday sweaters just yet! Acadiana Sports Leagues is putting on a Tacky Sweater Run to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana! It's all going on tomorrow in the Oil Center. If you wanna have a whole lotta fun laughing at the awesomely tacky sweaters, make new friends, and help benefit a great cause in the process, then keep reading for details!

The Tacky Sweater Run is a run designed for FUN BY ALL AGES.  If you want to race for time and run fast, we celebrate that, yet, think you may be missing the point.  This run is about having fun and making friends while enjoying a good laugh at all the wonderful sweaters.  Register online and join in the fun. All kids 12 and under are free!

 

The run itself is approximately 3.1 miles, allowing serious and “just for fun” runners to enjoy equally!  Runners and walkers are to dress up in their worst holiday sweaters, maybe have some holiday beverages before the start and then… GEAUX!

 

We will have snacks, drinks and tunes for you to enjoy, as well as some reindeer games for everyone to enjoy afterwards. While, after your 3.1 mile jog, we will celebrate with awards for best sweater, worst sweater, best team and “best of show.”  

 

Of course this is all family friendly as a portion of your fees will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana.

 

In the holiday spirit, each Tacky Sweater runner gets an Inaugural Race T-Shirt, as well as drinks, snacks and a special gift for the first 50 people to register.

We will also have hot chocolate and goodies for the kids.
