So, we all THOUGHT we were getting a new Soundgarden album last year. Turned out to be a new song that wasn't even new. Well, dust off your Docs cause reports are that Soundgarden  is set to hit the studio next week to record a NEW album!

"We start recording in about a week in Seattle," Chris Cornell tells SPIN. He also confirms that Adam Kasper, who produced Soundgarden's last album, 1996's "Down on the Upside," will produce this new album as well. "We don't have a schedule," says Cornell. "It's not like we are going to go into the studio and come out when we're finished with an album. We're putting the music first. The process of writing, recording, and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline." For more on this, check it out
