The "Why Can't We Be Friends" singer lost his cool during what was supposed to be a family friendly event.

Smash Mouth was playing Taste of Fort Collins, which is a family friendly event, when singer, Steve Harwell, was pelted with loaves of bread. He then went on a tirade, cussing and threatening to fight audience members.

Attendees of one of our Townsquare Media sister stations events, Taste of Fort Collins street festival, were all given complimentary loaves of bread to demonstrate the flavors of the local baking community. This obviously didn't go as planned when people not only didn't eat their bread, but decided to throw it at the band.

This obviously didn't sit well with Harwell. He threatened to go out into the audience and fight whoever threw the bread, then had to be held back by security.

Their set was eventually cancelled.
