We've mentioned before about the hinting at the end of Showtime's hit show 'Dexter'. Midway through season 6 the show was renewed for at least 2 more seasons. Now, an executive producer has given us an end time for the show.

According to Huffington Post:

"'Dexter' is definitely ending after seasons 8, executive producer Sara Colleton confirmed in an interview with TV Guide."
"This was definite," she clarified. "We wanted to end it this year, but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have worked that out and know where it's going to end. Next year will definitely be the last year of 'Dexter.' Absolutely."
"There were two shows, 'Weeds' and 'Dexter,' that really got Showtime taken seriously for cutting-edge original programming," Nevins recently told EW. "How they get brought home is really important."

Maaaaaan...as much as I don't want to see the show come to an end, when it's time it's time. I'd rather it go out on a high note than keep going with trite and mundane story lines. So, basically a two season ending! Oooooo! GIVE!
