The New Orleans Saints travel to the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football this evening and these two teams have had a close series ever since Carolina became a franchise in 1995.

Currently, the Panthers lead the all-time series 24-22 but with two games in three weeks, the Saints have an opportunity to tie things up and keep their division foes out of the playoffs after knocking them out last season.

These two teams began their rivalry when both teams were in the NFC West from 1995-2001 and then when both teams moved to the NFC South in 2002 until the present day.

The game tonight will be at Bank of America Stadium in Carolina and the Saints have faired okay in that stadium going 11-11 in their history and 22 of the 46 games have been decided eight points or less. The Saints have won 10 of those 22 games.

There have also been plenty of similarities between these two as well in this series. In the series, specifically the scoring aspect, the Saints have scored 1,013 and the Panthers have scored 1,014. The longest winning streak by either team was five games by the Saints from 2000-2002, 23 games have been decided by double-digits, six games have been decided by 21 points or more, and the Panthers hold the largest victory of 32 points.

Enjoy the game tonight! Geaux Saints.
