Zombies are hot right now. On t.v., in the movies, fashion, etc. Zombies have also been a big part of the gaming world for a while, but it seems Nintendo is gearing up to wear the undead, blood thirsty crown.

Introducing the Wii U Ubisoft ZombiU Gameplay E3 trailer. From Kotaku.com, here are some of the reasons why this game is so bad ass :

1) When you make a character, one is randomly generated for you—there is no main character. You give it your playertag, but it gets a name of its own—I say "it," because it can be a man or a woman.

2) Each game begins in a central hub, but the world is largely open. You can go anywhere, and objectives that you complete with past characters are still completed.

3) Best of all, when you die, your past character becomes a zombie, so you can go find them in your next game and kill them and reclaim the gear you got on your last playthrough.

4) There can only be one of your past-life zombies in the game at a time, but as you play online, your online friends' zombies will also enter your game. You'll see their playertag over their zombies. Ha!

Some other fun facts about the game from ubergizmo.com :

"It seems that gamers will have to use the GamePad in a wide variety of
situations, such as using it to swap out different weapons – and it should be
noted that while going through your inventory, zombies will
still come at you so you best be quick about it! – fight off zombies who are
trying to eat your brains, hack electronic doors to escape ravenous zombies,
double up as a map and can be used as a telescope while in sniper mode. As a fun
little feature, it will also come with a “zombification” feature that uses the
GamePad’s front-facing camera to turn you or your friend into a zombie!"
