‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Gets an Ominous New Poster
While you wait (very patiently, right?) for tonight’s premiere of the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm has revealed a new poster to tide you over — okay, it’s probably not going to make you any less anxious to peep that new trailer, but it’s something. Like the previous posters, this one is all about red, capitalizing on what was easily the coolest shot in the first trailer.
You know the one: It looks like the Star Wars version of Fury Road, with sleek speeders trailing red exhaust across a bleached desert. It’s depicted at the bottom of the new poster, which, in typical fashion, also features a bunch of floating — but very handsome — heads.
The second official trailer for The Last Jedi is premiering at halftime during tonight’s edition of Monday Night Football. We’ll have it online shortly after.
Returning for the sequel are Daisy Ridley as Rey, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, John Boyega as Finn, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke. They’re joined by Star Wars newbies Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vica Admiral Amilyn Holdo, and Benicio Del Toro as DJ.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15.
