Theadvocate.com is reporting famous New Orleans Chef John Besh has stepped down as chief executive of the Besh Restaurant Group amid allegations of sexual harassment.

The Advocate obtained a letter sent out by company executive Shannon White announcing that Chef John Besh “has decided to step down from all aspects of operations and to provide his full focus on this family.”

The move came in response to an exposé from nola.com writer Brett Anderson documenting allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment from the top down at Besh Restaurant Group.
