I've come close to hitting deer with a car more than once. A Massachusetts man claims police radar picked up a nearby deer when he was ticked for speeding. Dennis Sayers was ticketed for doing 40 mph in a 30 mph zone last November. He decided to fight the ticket, according  to newburyportnews.com. He lost the case in court, and was fined $105.00 in Dec ember. Sayers appealed the ruling, and it was upheld last Thursday. I Googled "How fast can a deer run?" Reindeer can run 37-50 mph. White-tailed deer can hit 47 mph. Sayers didn't win his case, but I guess it was worth a shot.
