I can't even begin to imagine how it would feel to be watching the Powerball drawing with my ticket in hand. Seeing the balls drop from the hopper and roll on to the TV screen and then noticing the numbers match the numbers on the ticket you hold in your hand.

For one lucky Louisiana Powerball player that drama could have played out in real time. First one, then two, then three, then four of the numbered balls matched the numbers on their ticket.  Then came the fifth and final white ball and darn it the fifth ball didn't match. But the Powerball did.

That ladies and gentlemen is worth $50,000 dollars. Here are the numbers:

08 23 27 42 60 PB 07  PPx3

One ticket sold in Harahan Louisiana at the Sav N Time store on Jefferson Highway matched four of those five numbers and the  Powerball. So that ticket holder now has $50,000 and probably a few more friends and relatives than when they went to bed last night.

There was no big winner in last night's Powerball drawing. So the Saturday night draw will be worth an estimated $314 million. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions lottery drawing on Friday will be worth an estimated $548 million. Yeah, over half a billion dollars could be paid out on Friday night.
