The next Terminator movie will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

There aren't many sequels that can be equated as better than or even equal to the original. Terminator 2: Judgement Day is one of the few exceptions. We all remember how badass Linda Hamilton looked in that movie as the ever-fighting Sarah Connor, mother to the resistance leader John Connor.

Since that movie, we've seen Termintor 3: Rise of the Machines which saw Nick Stahl as the still-confused future leader John Connor, Terminator Salvation gave Christian Bale a crack at the John Connor role, and the latest Terminator: Genisys which I think most people probably want to forget about.

There was one thing that the last three Terminator movies didn't have (they all had Arnie in some capacity), and that was James Cameron.

Cameron wrote, directed, and produced the first two movies. He'll be back producing this next go round, with Deadpool director Tim Miller at the helm. This next Terminator movie will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2. So, we can negate the last three movies that came after it.

That being said, Linda Hamilton is back as Sarah Connor, and she's still got the badass look!

The as-yet-untitled Terminator 6 movie is scheduled to be released November 22, 2019.
