Jagermeister’s ‘Big 4’ Metal Cocktail Recipes

In honor of the upcoming 'Big 4' concert Sept. 14 at New York's Yankee Stadium — featuring Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax — Jägermeister has come up with 11 (as in, 'Turn it up to 11!') cocktails to mark the momentous metal occasion. The makers of the popular liqueur have named the libations after songs and albums made popular by the four thrash-metal titans. So, when you're headbanging to Slayer, and you feel the sudden urge to take the edge off with a 'Reign in Blood' cocktail, now you'll know exactly how to make one. As always, drink responsibly. Believe us, no one likes that one asshat who's ruining the party or concert for everyone else. So, with that in mind, check out these 11 metal-ready 'Big 4' cocktails, courtesy of Jägermeister:

'Angel of Death' Cocktail

Slayer

1.5oz Old Overholt Rye
1oz Jägermeister
1oz Averna
3 dashes Jerry Thomas Decanter Bitters
Brandied CherriesBuild, stir with ice and garnish with a cherry.

'Bring the Noise' Cocktail

Anthrax

1.5oz Jägermeister
1.5oz Grapefruit Juice
.5oz Don Q anejo rum
.5oz Velvet Falernum

Combine all ingredients with Ice, Shake and strain into a tall glass.

'Devil’s Island' Cocktail

Megadeth

1.5oz Don Q Anejo Rum
1oz Jägermeister
.5oz Velvet Falernum
1oz Fresh OJ
1oz Pineapple Juice
2 dashes angostura

Combine all ingredients in a tall glass, swizzle with crushed ice. Add more crushed ice and float with Jägermeister on top. Garnish with a pineapple leaf.
