Sully H.W. Bush's mission is now complete.

The yellow Labrador service dog worked with former President George H.W. Bush for years, and will be traveling with his casket on the flight to Washington, D.C.

The photo was posted by Bush's spokesman, Jim McGrath, on Sunday with the perfect caption: "Mission complete."

Sully is named after Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, the pilot who became a celebrity overnight after his emergency landing of a damaged passenger jet on the Hudson River saving all 155 people on board back in 2009.

According to President George W. Bush, Sully will go back into service to help other veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

As much as our family is going to miss this dog, we’re comforted to know he’ll bring the same joy to his new home, Walter Reed, that be brought to 41
