Lafayette has not one but two locations of Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers opening up shop!

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be opening two Lafayette locations within the next year.

The first one is set to open before the end of the year in the shopping center on the corner of Bertrand Drive and Congress Street.

The second location will open in early 2016 in the Ambassador Town Center on Kaliste Saloom Road.

According to the company’s website, they describe their steakburgers as cooked-to-order and made from premium, lean beef. It also says that their frozen custard is smoother and richer than ice cream because of a churning process that produces less ice crystals and air.

A steakburger sounds pretty fantastic to me, and so does frozen custard. I've never had frozen custard, but from the way Freddy's describes it, it sounds real real good.

I don't know that much about Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, but from the looks of it, they're kind of like a 1940's - 1950's style throwback kind of place. A "Back To The Future" lookin' of joint if you will.

I can't wait to go check it out on my hover board...
