Once again, the Los Angeles Dodgers have evened things up in the Fall Classic.

Los Angeles defeated the Houston Astros, 3-1, in Game 6 of the 2017 Major League Baseball World Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday night.

The victory by the Dodgers knots up the best-of-7 game series at 3-3, and forces a 7th and decisive game on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles scored 3-unanswered runs to end the game, while their bullpen tossed 4.1 innings of shutout baseball to close things out.

The Astros and Dodgers will now play the 39th Game 7 in World Series history, including the second-straight, as well as the third in the last four years.

Houston has never won the World Series, while Los Angeles has claimed six, with their last coming back in 1988.

The Astros got on the scoreboard first, plaiting a run in the top half of the third inning, when George Springer crushed a solo home run off of LA starter Rich Hill, his fourth of the World Series, giving them a 1-0 lead.

As it turned out, that would be the first and only run Houston would score.

The Dodgers took the lead in the bottom half of the 6th inning off of Houston starter Justin Verlander, courtesy of a run-scoring double by Chris Taylor, as well as a sacrifice fly off the bat of Corey Seager, to give them a 2-1 advantage.

Los Angeles added an insurance run in the bottom half of the 7th inning, when Joc Pederson belted a solo homer, his third of the series, to make it 3-1.

That was all that the Dodgers would need, as closer Kenley Jansen threw two innings of perfect baseball to end the game, solidifying the two-run triumph, and send the World Series to a Game 7.

Los Angeles, who was actually outhit by Houston, 6-5, was led at the plate by Pederson, who homered.

In a losing cause for Houston, Springer went 2-for-3, including a home run.

Tony Watson recorded the win in relief for the Dodgers, his second victory in the series, while Verlander suffered the loss for the Astros, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, over 6 innings of work.

Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday evening in Houston, with first pitch slated for 7:09 pm.

Right-hander Yu Darvish is expected to get the start for the Dodgers, while the Astros are likely to counter with right-hander Lance McCullers.

Those two opposed each other in Game 3, with the Astros winning, 5-3.
