Lafayette Parish School System officials Joe Craig says students at Comeaux High School will be staying on campus this morning despite a situation at the school's construction site.

The Performing Arts facility is being constructed, and at that construction site, they could not cap a valve on a propane tank.

Students were evacuated for a short time.

Students are moving back into their classes except for students in Butler buildings.

The students in Butler building will be moved into other school buildings today, but no students are leaving the campus.

HazMat officials say that the cap was knocked off of a propane tank, and they are working to cap it.
