Champions Square Banner With Darren Sharper Is Being Removed

A big banner in Champions Square is being removed because of the fact that is has former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper in the image.

The Champions Square banner of Tracy Porter clinching the 2010 Super Bowl with his late interception return for a touchdown is going to be removed because in the image, behind Porter, is convicted serial rapist Darren Sharper.

The infamous Super Bowl photo hanging at the right of the Champions Square stage has taken on a darker element since Sharper's guilty pleas in March in three states. Other images may also be removed in the makeover of the entertainment square outside the Superdome.
