If you want to play, you may soon have to pay if one bill gets through.

Lawmakers in several states are considering a bill that would require people to pay a tax if they wish to view pornography on new phones and computers.

The Human Trafficking Prevention Act would require people to pay a tax if they wish to unlock a pornography filter on new devices that are connected to the internet. Thus, if you want to watch, you'll have to pay.

The supporters of this act say that funds collected would be used to fight things like human trafficking, domestic violence, etc.

Those in favor of this bill also say that the tax may discourage some from viewing porn, which in their eyes is a danger to society. They also argue that other products you consume for enjoyment, cigarettes and alcohol, are taxed so why not porn?

What do you think about this proposal. Is it just or is it a violation of your rights? Let us know in the comment section below.
