The Back To The Future Experience may be the best event going on for Back To The Future Day, but that didn't stop other organizations from around the world from having a little fun.

“This morning police officers from the Mount Isa Hoverboard Unit were called to attend a traffic crash on Rodeo Drive. A silver sedan had crashed into a power pole near the cinema. When questioned what speed he was doing, the driver stated that he was doing 88 miles per hour."

It goes on to say that a 17-year-old man, with a drivers license that expired 30 years ago was charged in the crash. He even asked the local cinema owner when they would be showing Jaws 19!

We of course told you about the faux, hilarious Jaws 19 trailer.

Austria's transport ministry released guidelines on the not-yet-existing hoverboard.

The ministry says hoverboards are to be treated as small off-road vehicles, which may be used anywhere skateboards are. Citing the need for “legal clarity” over the matter, the ministry added that the only restriction for hoverboard usage is that they must not “endanger passers-by or motor traffic.” Also mentioned in the guidelines was the Pitbull model hoverboard used by Griff in Back to the Future II. This model, the guidelines say, would require a pilot’s license and flight authorisation.

Car companies, of course, got in on the action.

Ford made a commercial about putting the Flux Capacitor into a couple of their vehicles.

Here's some other examples of places that are excited about Back To The Future Day

This one is pretty great!
