Did you know that the ruins of a city in North Louisiana are so ancient, it's as old as some of the pyramids in Egypt? This ancient city is called Poverty Point, which lies on the edge of Macon River in Northeast Louisiana, about 15 miles from the Mississippi River.

This ancient city and monument is a World Heritage Site built by ancient Native Americans with some of the earthworks dating back to around 1600 and 1300 BCE.
