5 Worst Intersections in Lafayette According to You
I was driving in Lafayette yesterday and came across a couple of intersections that just took forever to get through. Now, it was during the 5:00pm hour so traffic was at its peak. But still, it made me wonder, which are the worst intersections in the Hub City?
We could've done a little research with the DMV to find out where the most accidents took place but you guys drive these streets everyday. So, we took to Facebook to get your thoughts.
As you can imagine, some of the same roads came up in the discussion. Here are the top 5 worst intersections in Lafayette according to you.
Most of us have had the same thought as Cody Osterhout when he said, "Johnson and Camellia.. what were they thinking?"
For many years this has been considered the busiest intersection in all of Acadiana.
Nellie Mouton says: "Johnston and Ambassador, cars from Johnston have left turn arrow, then light turns green for Ambassador. Traffic has no where to go cause the next light on Ambassador near furniture store turns red and traffic is just blocked all ways."
This was an intersection where a lot of you were very passionate with your thoughts but Roger Pride may have put it best when he wrote, "Ambassador and KS. Suckas run the left turn lights constantly. Literally every single light cycle."
Personally, this is one of the hardest turning intersections out there! No matter which way you're trying to go, don't you feel like you're going to hit the car next to you because the lanes are so tight?
Amber Lyn Richard: "Oh yeah, I avoid that one at all cost."
Have you ever sat on E Broussard going towards Johnston from the McDonald's side around 7:30am on a weekday? Yeah, not a short wait.
Corey Allgood sums it up succinctly, "East Broussard and Johnston sucks in the mornings."
